During my second year as a student, I was assigned to create a book. At the time, I had just returned from a trip to Egypt, where my disposable camera had accidentally drowned. When the film was developed, I discovered a captivating world of imperfections.
For my project, I created a book combining images from the broken camera with other post-capture mistakes. The result received positive feedback, though one of my teachers advised me that to truly explore imperfection, I first needed to master the art of photography.
While striving to become the best photographer I could be, I kept a compassionate eye open for the beauty in errors. Film emulsion leaks, scanning mishaps, broken cameras—these "flaws" fueled my creative journey. Alongside this, my fascination with changing scales, scanning found objects collected in my notebook, and zooming in on peculiar details within frames kept my curiosity burning.
